Artists: HHH; comprised of a Gayageum (DoYeon Kim, leader), an alto clarinet, and a drum. The Boston Korean Traditional Dance Group led and choreographed by Chanhee Park.
Daemo: An original composition that dwells in the world of Korean traditional music and is improvised within a complex polyrhythmic framework.
NoGo: Another original composition based on a rhythmical cycle of 9 pulses that moves though different time feels. The melodic content draws from Korean traditional music.
Black Narcissus: A ballad by the great jazz saxophonist Joe Henderson.
Boat Song: An interpretation of a Korean folk song that is sung by sailors, “Baebh No Re” is reworked and transformed through different styles and rhythmical idioms both traditional and modern. Three dance pieces are sogo (hand drum), fan, and Janggo dances.
